Eat Like a Farmer Cookbooks

Even in wintertime, locavores can eat really well on a diet that's 95% northern Michigan. From the sauces and condiments that enliven a winter table to techniques for pulling off everything from colorful winter salads to perfect pork chops, hearty soups, and whole-meal egg dishes, Eat Like a Farmer walks you through how we eat well and locally at our organic farm, even in deep winter.

This recipe book is a collection of 50 pages of recipes and full-color photos previously published in places like Edible Grande Traverse, Clean Eating, and the Petoskey News-Review.

Book price is $8. Pick up your copy at either of the Grain Train stores, at Boyne Country Provisions, and directly from our booth at the Boyne City Farmers Market.

100% of proceeds from the sale of this book support Blue Plate Project, a nonprofit from northern Michigan that partners with Bluestem Farm to deliver good food to families in need. Your purchase of this book supports our shared mission to make access to good food a reality for everyone.
